What this site collects

This site is run by the owner of 1111 W US Highway 20 in Michigan City, Indiana, to offer the property for lease or sale. It has no accounts and nothing to buy, so it collects very little.

If you send the contact form, your name, email address, phone number and message are emailed to the owner, and the site tries to send you a short confirmation with the brochure. The email to the owner also notes how you first found the site, for example a search engine or one of our own links. It goes out through our email provider, and the site itself keeps no copy: your message is an email in the owner’s inbox.

The site’s own note of how you found it stays in your browser until you send the form. Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel do see, as part of an ordinary visit, the address of the page you arrive on and, when your browser shares it, the page you came from. Either can name the link or ad that brought you.

To keep the form from being flooded, the server holds the IP address and time of recent submissions in its memory while it runs. They are not written anywhere, and they are gone when the server restarts.

Cookies and tags

Google Analytics counts visits and the pages people read, and records brochure downloads, presses of the phone number and sent forms. It uses cookies to tell one visit from another.

The Meta Pixel records the same visits and actions for our ads on Facebook and Instagram, so we can see which ads bring enquiries and show our ads to people who have already visited. When you send the form, Meta may receive your email address and phone number in hashed form, to match the visit to a Meta account.

The map is a Google map, and Google receives your IP address when it loads.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. It passes only through the services this site runs on, as described above: our hosting and email providers, Google and Meta. The owner uses your contact details to answer your enquiry about this property.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Google offers an opt-out for Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and Meta lets you manage ad settings at facebook.com/adpreferences.
